Baseball Bat TPX
One of Ritchie’s favorite Louisville sluggers is the baseball bat TPX. I’ve taken a few swings with them myself, and I gotta say that I may be a convert. This is one respectable homerun swinger. It feels good in the hands, you know. I don’t commit to using only one model. I like to spread the love around and play my sweet swing music above the gloves of all outfielders with many different instruments. I think mixing it up gets you the most knowledge and experience in the sport. But I don’t fault anyone from picking something and sticking to it either. Whatever works.

I remember one night when Ritchie really got the best of me with that baseball bat TPX in his hands. It wasn’t a full on game or anything. We were just out in the back yard throwing the ball around. I wound up and thought I threw a real heater at him. I wanted to massacre him with that pitch. Just make it sail right past him. Then I threw another one just like it. Then another one after that. He popped them all good. Sent them sailing high. I didn’t have a prayer of chasing any of them down, so I just stood and watched them go, mumbling “son of a…” I’m used to him getting some hits off me. He’s a really good player, after all. But three in a row! That was insane.
And then came the trash talk. Ritchie ran around my yard with that baseball bat TPX up over his head, talking about, “Who’s yo daddy now, fool.” Unbelievable! Like the guy has never heard of sportsman like behavior before. Then he ran up to me and he was like, “Kiss it, sucka! Kiss the baseball bat TPX that I broke your game down with!”
I can take a joke as much as the next guy, but I had to put a stop to it there. Before I took that baseball bat TPX from him and tossed it over the fence along with all the balls he hit. I gloat every now and then too, but I know when enough’s enough. He has no sense about that sometimes. But a lot of people get carried away. In professional sports they even had to put rules in about taunting and penalties. You just ain’t allowed to go overboard anymore. But they had to make that official because people naturally do.
I came back later I the game, by the way. I wanted to put that in there. He won the game. I don’t mind admitting that. But I slapped a few of his pitches high just like he did mine. One of them went sailing way past my back fence and everything. I heard glass breaking after it did, so that wasn’t totally cool, but that’s okay. I try to keep as good as I can with my neighbors. We’re are all stuck with each other. No reason to start busting out windows. Can I look at my performance and put it up to the kind of instrument I was using? I don’t know. For some of those, I was using a baseball bat TPX and for others, I wasn’t. Like I said, I run the gamut. What I can say is that it is a darn good hitter.
